Windows BMR (Legacy - Bacula4)
**** all customers should be migrated to our new clusterlogics platform (vs bacula4). If you see clusterlogics in your GUI, please ensure you do not use this windows BMR method and instead use the new BMR method for clusterlogics.

1. Load and boot the iso (available for download from your Bacula4Hosts Portal *USE THE LATEST STABLE VERSION (NON BETA) AVAILABLE. USE ALTERNATE VERSIONS IF THERE ARE DRIVER ISSUES (IE OLDER HARDWARE) OR IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH THE LATEST MEDIA
Click continue once loaded.
2. Click edit bacula config files, file out the configuration file, and save it.
Director's name = ca-bacula-ent-dir1.bacula4hosts.com-dir (unless you have your own director, in which case, enter your director name)
Director's DIRPort = 9101 (default)
Director's address = ip of director that client can reach
Director's Password = Password listed under setting tab of B4H account
Console Name = b4husername-rescue (i.e. yourUSERNAME-rescue)
Console password = Password listed under setting tab of B4H account
Once you save and exit, it will load the next configuration file:
FileDaemon Name = b4husername-rescue (i.e. yourUSERNAME-rescue)
FDPort = 9102 (default)
Director Name = ca-bacula-ent-dir1.bacula4hosts.com-dir (unless you have your own director, in which case, enter your director name)
Director Password = Password listed under setting tab of B4H account
Messages Director = ca-bacula-ent-dir1.bacula4hosts.com-dir (unless you have your own director, in which case, enter your director name)
3. Select Manually set your ip address. When the cmd prompt opens, configure the IP address of the rescue client using netsh.
netsh interface ip set address name="Local Area Connection" static ipaddress netmask gateway 1
Confirm the IP address and routing table are set correctly with the new parameters:
ipconfig
route PRINT
4. Once you do this, click the test configuration button and make sure all is well. Then hit done.
5. Select the host you wish to restore and the backup point
6. Click on the change on the right and select the disk that you want to restore too
7. Review and click Next unless something specific needs to be done
8. Select OK and acknowledge that partitions will be overwritten.
9. Once the job completes, reboot the host.
