How to perform a Linux BMR
1. Load and boot the iso or USB image (available for download from your Bacula4Hosts Portal) *USE THE LATEST STABLE VERSION (NON BETA) AVAILABLE. USE ALTERNATE VERSIONS IF THERE ARE DRIVER ISSUES (IE OLDER HARDWARE) OR IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH THE LATEST MEDIA
2. Double click on the Start-Bacula-Rescue and select Run in Terminal
3. Fill out the Configuration Fields:
Rescue client name = b4husername-rescue (i.e. yourUSERNAME-rescue)
Rescue client password = Password listed under setting tab of B4H account
Rescue client Port = 9102 (default)
Director's name = ca-bacula-ent-dir1.bacula4hosts.com-dir (unless on your own director, in which case, enter your director name)
Director's address = 96.125.182.114 (unless you have your own director install, in which case, enter your director IP)
Rescue console password = Password listed under setting tab of B4H account
4. The BMR media will then generally not be able to speak to the director because it cannot automatically retrieve an IP by DHCP. Select manually set your ip -> edit the interface -> IPV4 Settings -> Method -> Manual -> Add -> Enter IP/Netmask/Gateway as necessary. After configuring, you may need to enable the interface by selecting ethXX from the network plug dropdown at the top of bar (icon looks like network plug)
5. Select the host you wish to restore and the backup point
6. Click on the change on the right and select the disk that you want to restore too
7. Review and click Next unless something specific needs to be done
8. Select OK and acknowledge that partitions will be overwritten.
